Multiple Intelligences in Art

The students in Color & Design explored their strengths after learning about Howard Gardner’s Theory of Multiple Intelligences. They took quizzes to find their strongest “intelligence” and then created an artwork that used or expressed that strength. They chose the subject matter, media, and techniques that best fit their interests.

Surreal Scenes (Color & Design)

The students in Color & Design were challenged to create an original indoor or outdoor scene using one or two point perspective in the style of Surrealist artists such as Salvador Dali, Rene Magritte, and Man Ray.

Surreal Scenes (Color & Design: creative project #4)

Students in Color & Design created original artworks inspired by Surrealism. The challenge for this project was to incorporate one point or two point perspective into the composition. The students were given a choice in media and subject matter.
