Faceless Self Portraits (Color & Design: creative project #1)

To start the school year, students in Color & Design were asked to create “faceless self portraits.” The challenge was to create an artwork that expresses the interests, personality, or hobbies of the student without revealing their faces. We are focusing on artistic behaviors (thinking and behaving like an artist) and this assignment asked students to work on communicating through their artwork. The students were given choice of media and technique which made the results more varied but adds to the self-expression.
