Grid Portraits (Color & Design: creative project #11)

The students in Color & Design created portraits of each other using the grid method made popular by artist Chuck Close. The original image is transferred to a larger paper one square at a time. The students (painstakingly) mixed each color to match the photograph. Using squares and ovals, the students translated the photograph into a more abstracted version of their classmate.
