After learning how perspective can create the illusion of depth within an artwork, Art 8 students were challenged to create an original piece that incorporated at least one type of perspective. Each student approached the project in a unique and interesting way. Types of perspective illustrated included: worm’s eye view, bird’s eye view forced perspective, foreshortening, linear perspective (one point and two point), and atmospheric, or aerial perspective. The students also chose a variety of media such as graphite, colored pencil, oil pastel, chalk, acrylic paint, and mixed media sculptures, and dioramas.
